Series: Questions Christmas Asks
Throughout the Christmas narrative, people ask several questions about the coming of Jesus. These questions are heart questions with deep meaning for our lives and our faith. They also show that asking questions is not faithless, but often the most faith-filled thing we can do. We all have questions. God can handle them as long as we ask our questions in relationship with God. If we try to answer them on our own, it takes us back to ourselves, but with God, we are safe to ask our questions. One of the action items for this sermon series will be to invite someone to Christmas Eve who doesn't go to church because they have questions about themselves, about Jesus, and about life. We don't have the answers, but Jesus does. We are marked by love, which means we are safe to hold space for others' questions and know where to point.
